We have some of the most supportive folks that have helped us spread our wings into a new adventure for the spring/summer show.  Without the following sponsors, some of the changes you are experiencing this year would be far more difficult. If you see these folks, please be sure to say Thank You and let them know what their support means to you!

We would also like to thank Roger & Karla Johnson, Sue Scobee, Richard Schlough & Christy Altepeter, Jim & Roberta Folgate, and Jim & Sherry Heldt for donating the $150 Hi Point and $100 Res Hi Point Cattle Horse awards.

There is also $500 dollars added to the Jr. Reining class. The Appaloosa Reining Horse Association is offering this added money to the Jr. Reining class as long as there are at least 4 entries…so, be sure to put your Jr. Reining horse in the trailer!

In addition to all of these great prizes, the clubs are sponsoring Hi Points and Res Hi Points for 10 different non-pro, youth, and open divisions. Come join us for the fun!

About our Organization

Blackhawk Appaloosa Association, Inc. was founded in 1965 as a Regional Appaloosa Club in Territory III, Zone B, of the National Appaloosa Horse Club for the purpose of promoting the Appaloosa horse in the Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin area.

Blackhawk is governed by a slate of Officers and Directors selected from 44 counties of our Region, and by the Bylaws and Rules established.  Through the officers, directors and committee chairpersons, many activities are provided for the various needs of the membership.  The promotion of the Appaloosa is furthered through the following efforts:

Members of Blackhawk have been successful in all levels of the Appaloosa field with many National and World Champions on record for both horse and individual accomplishments.  Many Blackhawk members have taken an active role in the National organization as Directors, National Queen and as approved judges.
